Massimo Banzi is one of the Arduino project's co-founders. He's an Interaction Designer, Educator, and Supporter of Open Source Hardware. Prada, Artemide, Persol, Whirlpool, the V&A Museum, and Adidas have all hired him as a consultant. Massimo founded Italy's first FabLab, which led to the establishment of Officine Arduino, a Torino-based FabLab/Makerspace.

He worked as an Associate Professor at the Ivrea Interaction Design Institute for four years. Massimo has given seminars and given talks at universities all around the world. He was the CTO at the Seat Ventures incubator before joining IDII.
