Martyn Parker was appointed as Chairman Global Partnerships with effect from February 2012 and is a member of the Group Management Board. Martyn Parker was appointed as CEO Reinsurance Asia and Regional President Asia and joined the Executive Committee with effect from 1 January 2012. He became CEO of Swiss Re's Asia Division on 1 June 2006.
From his Hong Kong base he oversaw Swiss Re's rapidly expanding Asia-Pacific business which covers both the Property & Casualty as well as the Life & Health sectors. He continued to serve as a member of the Group Management Board which he joined in September 2005 as Global Head of Life and Health Products.
