The Human Trafficking Pro Bono Legal Center's president is Martina Vandenberg. She defended victims of human trafficking pro bono as a law partner at Jenner & Block. Vandenberg pioneered investigations into human rights crimes in the Russian Federation, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Uzbekistan, Kosovo, Israel, and Ukraine as a former Human Rights Watch researcher.
She wrote the first report on human trafficking in Israel, as well as two more investigations on forced prostitution in Bosnia and Herzegovina and rape as ethnic cleansing in Kosovo. Vandenberg has testified before Congress and instructed over 900 attorneys in the United States to handle human trafficking cases.
