Martin Kaymer is a German professional golfer. A winner of two major championships he was also the No. 1 ranked golfer in the Official World Golf Ranking for eight weeks in 2011.
Kaymer sank a putt on the 18th hole on the final day of the Ryder Cup in 2012 which retained the cup for Europe and successfully overturned a four-point deficit against the United States at the start of the final day's play. In May 2014 Kaymer won The Players Championship the flagship event of the PGA Tour.
