Guaana, a hackathon and brainstorming platform, was co-founded by Marko Russiver. Russiver worked as a creative director, art director, and designer for more than a decade before starting Guanna. Russiver assisted with the establishment of The Global Hack, an online hackathon aimed to exchange and rapidly create ideas for urgently needed remedies and build post-pandemic resilience, in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Russiver is convinced that open information sharing is a key factor influencing humanity's future, and that design can be used to address the world's most pressing issues. Russiver has been nominated for the MIT Technology Review's Innovators Under 35 Europe 2018 Awards, as well as the Swedish Business Awards' Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
