Mark Geragos, the Principal of the internationally renowned trial lawyer firm Geragos & Geragos, cemented his national reputation as a trial lawyer a dozen years ago when he obtained back-to-back State and Federal Court jury trial acquittals for infamous Whitewater figure Susan McDougal, later securing a presidential pardon for Ms. McDougal for a conviction sustained prior to his representation of her. Geragos has won two consecutive murder cases against clients dismissed by showing faulty eyewitness identification during the previous decade. When the Geragos company sued the City of Glendale for wrongfully arresting one of their clients, the firm received a $1.7 million settlement. Geragos was the main lawyer in another twelve-week murder trial in which the victim was the defendant's four-year-old daughter, but the jury did not convict his client. His $59 million jury decision in a trade secrets action against pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Corporation was named to the Daily Journal's Top Ten Verdicts in California in 2008, as well as the National Law Journal's Top Fifty Verdicts in the United States. Geragos has represented some of the world's most powerful people. Former Congressman Gary Condit, former first brother Roger Clinton, Oscar-nominated actress Winona Ryder, pop star Michael Jackson, Nicole Ritchie, singer Chris Brown, hip hop stars Nathaniel Nate Dogg Hale and Sean Diddy Combs (aka Puff Daddy), international arms dealer Sarkis Soghanalian, and the Sarkisyan family, whose seventeen-year-old daughter died after Cigna Corporation refused to authorize a liver transplant, are among his clients. Geragos has been representing Barry Bonds' personal trainer, Greg Anderson, in his case involving the Federal Investigation into Steroid Use in Professional Sports for several years. On the Today Show, Good Morning America, Dateline NBC, Larry King Live, Greta Van Susteren's On the Record, 60 Minutes, and 48 Hours, Geragos has appeared as a guest and legal commentator on a regular basis, and he has lectured extensively and authored numerous articles and Law Review publications on the subject of Media and the Law. Geragos got his bachelor's degree from Haverford College in Pennsylvania and his law degree from Loyola Law School. He was born in the city of Los Angeles.
