Mark Dybul Biography

Mark Dybul is a professor in the Medicine Department at Georgetown University Medical Center and co-director of the Center for Global Health and Quality. He was formerly the executive director of the Worldwide Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, as well as the US global AIDS coordinator, where he oversaw the execution of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, which he co-authored. Dybul worked as an HIV research fellow at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the late 1990s. He then became the inaugural Global Health Fellow of the George W. Bush Institute and led President George W. Bush's International Prevention of Mother and Child HIV project.
