Mark Byington Biography

Mark Byington is the current head coach of the Georgia Southern University Eagles men's basketball team, as well as a former assistant coach and collegiate basketball player. He was born on April 22, 1976. At the College of Charleston, Byington lasted nine seasons as an assistant coach, including seven as Bobby Cremins' top assistant. During Byington's tenure as an assistant coach, the College of Charleston went 194-100 overall and 108-51 in the Southern Conference. The College of Charleston Cougars had six 20-win seasons, three regular-season Southern Conference South Division crowns three trips to the conference tournament championship game, and two trips to the NIT.
