Mark Burnett Biography

Mark Burnett is a television and film producer and author and, since December 2015, president of MGM Television and Digital Group.

He has won twelve Emmy Awards, five Producers Guild of America Awards, seven Critics' Choice Television Awards, and six People's Choice Awards.

Currently, Burnett is the executive producer of five network television shows/specials and two cable shows: The Voice (NBC), Survivor (CBS), Shark Tank (ABC), Steve Harvey’s FunderDome (ABC) and Jamie Foxx's Beat Shazam (FOX), SIGNED (VH1) and Lucha Underground (The El Rey Network). In 2017, Burnett had timeslot winning shows on six nights out of seven.

In December 2015, Burnett was named president of MGM Television and Digital Group, adding numerous scripted television shows including Fargo (FX),The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu), Vikings (History) and Teen Wolf (MTV).

Burnett additionally produced the cable miniseries The Bible and A.D. The Bible Continues, as well as the feature films Son of God, Little Boy, and Woodlawn.
