Marjan van Aubel is an award-winning solar designer who uses her work to promote energy efficiency. Her cutting-edge work straddles the lines of sustainability, design, and technology. Van Aubel delivered a TED presentation titled The Beautiful Future of Solar Power in 2019. In 2017, Swarovski named her the Designer of the Future. She won the WIRED Innovation Award and the Wallpaper Design Award in 2016, and Neelie Kroes named her the Racicale Vernieuwer (Radical Pioneer) of the Netherlands.
