Symax Inc.'s founder and CEO is Maria Tsuruoka. She began her career as an analyst at a venture capital firm while still a university student. She joined a Japanese seed accelerator firm in 2011 and helped to launch a number of new businesses, including incubation programs, an online money transfer service, an SEO company that was successfully purchased by an advertising agency, and an e-commerce service for bridal items. She also worked as an independent consultant, assisting with a variety of projects, including customer acquisition funnel analysis and optimization, as well as R&D strategy development for both startups and major corporations. She founded Symax, Inc. in 2014 and began developing a new preventative healthcare service based on a health monitoring gadget that can be simply installed on any toilet.
