Marcus Agius is Chairman of the Board Corporate Governance and Nominations Committee and a member of the Board Human Resources and Remuneration Committee. He also chairs the Group Brand and Reputation Committee and the Barclays Community Partnerships Committee. As well as being the Senior Independent Director on the Executive Board of the BBC he also chairs the Executive Board Remuneration Committee and the Executive Board Nominations Committee. He is a Non-Executive member of the Executive Board Fair Trading Committee and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. In addition he was formerly Chairman of Lazard London and of BAA plc. Mr Agius holds an MA from Cambridge University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
