Marcelo Mena is an activist and policymaker who began his career as a scientist and professor. He is the head of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaiso's (PUCV) Climate Action Center and the Chile Office of the Global Center on Adaptation.
He was formerly the World Bank's practice manager for climate research and, from 2014 to 2018, Chile's Vice Minister and Minister of the Environment under President Bachelet.
