Maggie Smith is the author of three collections of poetry: Good Bones (Tupelo Press, 2017), The Well Speaks of Its Own Poison (2015), and Lamp of the Body (Tupelo Press, 2014). (Red Hen Press, 2005). Smith has also written three award-winning chapbooks.
Her poems have appeared in Best American Poetry, the New York Times, The New Yorker, Tin House, POETRY, The Paris Review, Ploughshares, and many other publications. Her poem "Good Bones," which went viral worldwide in 2016, has been translated into almost a dozen languages. It was dubbed "the official poetry of 2016" by Public Radio International.
