Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor, hailing from Houston, Texas. Raised in a nomadic missionary family, he endured a turbulent youth across Europe and the U.S., settling in Cleveland, Ohio, after his parents’ divorce.
Nicknamed for his rapid-fire rap delivery, MGK released his debut mixtape, “Stamp of Approval,” in 2006, and signed with Bad Boy/Interscope in 2011. His breakthrough album “Lace Up” (2012) spawned hits like “Wild Boy,” while “Tickets to My Downfall” (2020) debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Follow-ups include “Mainstream Sellout” (2022) and the pop-rock “Lost Americana” (2025).
