Luyu Yang is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of musical.ly, a video production, messaging, and live streaming social network app. The software allows users to create 15-second to one-minute movies in one or several shots, and then mix them with music and noises.
Yang collaborated with musical.ly co-founder Alex Zhu to create an education social network app that allowed users to teach and study different disciplines using short-form videos (3–5 minutes long) before releasing musical.ly. Billboard's 2016 Digital Power Players List: The Industry Leaders Shaping the Game included Yang and Zhu.
