Dr. Luhan Yang co-founded eGenesis in 2015 and presently serves as the company's chief scientific officer, overseeing the company's scientific strategy and activities. She previously pioneered the first isogenic human stem cell lines to simulate human illnesses at the tissue level and created the highly programmable genome-engineering technology CRISPR/Cas9 for use in mammalian cells.
She was recently named to the Bloomberg 50 (2017), the World Economic Forum's "Young Global Leader" (2017), Forbes Magazine's "30 Under 30" in Science and Healthcare (2014), and the "Young Entrepreneur Initiative" competition laureate (2014). Dr. Yang graduated from Peking University with a B.S. in Biology and Psychology and a Ph.D.
