Lucy Hale's music career blossomed in 2003 when she first came to prominence as one of the five winners of the reality show American Juniors a children's spin-off of Fox's American Idol. She began as a solo artist with signing Hollywood Records in 2012 on her debut studio album Road Between released in 2014.
In 2005 she began to concentrate on acting and appeared on several television shows including the 2007 series Bionic Woman a re-imagining from the 1976 series of the same name. She also starred the CW's Privileged in 2008 before winning the role of Aria Montgomery on Pretty Little Liars which ran from 2010-17.
