Before recording, this procedure was sketched out in schematics on a sheet of paper, with the idea that the less computerized the better. Love Inks began the process in March 2010 with fifteen or more songs, and by June they were down to a solid ten. The tracks on E.S.P. were designed to highlight the emotional essence of each instrument.

It began as an exercise and has since become the only way to accomplish it. Love Inks discovered a method to drop the guitar and bass precisely into the song, in between everything, so that the vocal may exist in its own universe, floating above the music.

Sherry expresses the energy and affection between Yoko Ono and John Lennon in the lyrics.
