Lloyd Hill is the former Chairman and CEO of Overland Park, Kansas-based Applebee's International, Inc. (A.I.I.). Hill joined Applebee's in January 1994 as a chief operating officer and was elected president in December 1994. In January 1997, he was named co-chief executive officer, then a chief executive officer in January 1998, then chairman of the board in May 2000.
Hill joined the A.I.I. board of directors as an independent member in 1989. Hill stepped down as CEO in September 2006, however, he remains on the board of directors as non-executive chairman.
