Lisa Suennen is managing partner at Venture Valkyrie Consulting which advises venture capital firms and other companies in the health-care field. She is a board member of the Dignity Health Foundation and health IT companies Beyond Lucid Technologies Humetrix and Pokitdok and is a member of the Qualcomm Life advisory board and an advisor to the California Health Care Foundation Innovation Fund. Suennen teaches M.B.A. courses on health-care venture capital and the health-care economy at UC Berkeley where she serves on the Institute of Governmental Studies National Advisory Council. She also writes a blog on health care and health-care investing. She co-founded and was a partner of Psilos Group a health-care-focused venture capital and growth equity firm. Before that she was at Merit Behavioral Care (formerly American Biodyne) where she held various senior executive roles. Suennen earned a B.A. in political science a B.A. in mass communications and an M.A. in political science all from UC Berkeley.
