Lisa Fenn worked for ESPN for 13 years as a three-time Edward R. Murrow and six-time Emmy Award-winning feature producer, covering major league sports and interviewing every big person in the game until meeting two remarkable young boys in 2009 who transformed her life – and theirs – forever.
When she met Dartanyon Crockett and Leroy Sutton in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, they were two crippled, destitute high school wrestlers. Leroy, who had lost his legs in a railroad accident as a kid, was frequently discovered riding shotgun on the back of the legally blind and nomadic Dartanyon.
