Lindi Ortega is a country singer and songwriter from Canada. Ortega wrote her first song at the age of 17. She eventually moved to Nashville to pursue her career in music. In 2008, Lindi signed a record deal with Interscope Records, which would later release her EP. However, while pursuing a career in music Ortega continued to work various jobs to make ends meet. In 2010 and 2011, Ortega toured as a backup singer to Brandon Flowers, who was the lead singer of the Killers. In 2011 she also signed with Last Gang. All of her hard work paid off— In 2012, Ortega was nominated for two Juno Awards which included New Artist of the Year and Traditional Solo Album. In 2016, Ortega announced her engagement and in 2018 she revealed that she has suffered from body dysmorphic disorder.
