Linden MacIntyre is a Canadian journalist, broadcaster, and author who was born on May 29, 1943. He has received eight Gemini Prizes, an International Emmy, and several other awards for writing and journalism, including the Scotiabank Giller Prize for his novel The Bishop's Man, which he published in 2009.
He was well-known for his stories on CBC's The Fifth Estate for many years, however, he announced his retirement from the show in 2014 at the age of 70. He was reared in Port Hastings, Nova Scotia, as one of three children of Dan Rory MacIntyre and Alice Donohue.
