The Rev. Dr. Lillian Daniel is the Senior Pastor of Dubuque, Iowa's 1st Congregational Church, a lively welcoming congregation with a love for the city. Lillian is a writer and a teacher who has written four books, the most recent of which are Tired of Apologizing for a Church I Don't Belong to and When Spiritual But Not Religious Isn't Enough. Bryn Mawr College, Yale Divinity School, and Hartford Seminary are among her accomplishments. She has educated aspiring clergy how to preach anywhere from St John's Theological College in New Zealand to Chicago Theological Seminary, but don't hold it against her. Before arriving in Iowa, Pastor Lillian led three churches: two in Connecticut and, most recently, a 1,400-member congregation in the western Chicago suburbs.
