American actor, singer, rapper and songwriter, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Torrence Ivy Hatch Jr. a.k.a Boosie Badazz or simply Boosie (formerly Lil Boosie) was born on November 14, 1982. In the 1990s, Hatch began rapping as a member of the hip hop group called Concentration Camp. In 2000, he decided to pursue a solo career with the release of Youngest of da Camp which was his debut album. The following year, he left the label and he signed with Pimp C's Trill Entertainment to release For My Thugz, his second studio album. Hatch went on to release six collaborative albums, 42 mixtapes and seven solo albums as one of the most important figures of southern hip hop. Hatch was sentenced to four years in prison on drug and gun charges in 2009. He was also sentenced to 10 years in prison on multiple charges of drug possession with intent to distribute and was indicted on first-degree murder charges in 2010. Hatch was released early on March 5, 2014 after serving five years in prison.
