Liang Xinjun Biography

Liang Xinjun, 43, is the Company's Executive Director, Vice Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Liang was one of the Group's co-founders. Since the company's inception in November 1994, Mr. Liang has served as vice chairman of Fosun Group. From December 2007 to June 2010, Mr. Liang served as a director of Yuyuan. Mr. Liang also serves on the boards of Zhaojin Mining and Shanghai Oriental Pearl (Group) Co., Ltd. as a non-executive director (listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange with stock code: 600832). Mr. Liang is a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference's Eleventh Shanghai Committee, as well as vice chairman of the China Young Entrepreneurs Association, executive vice council chairman of the China Science and Technology Private Entrepreneurs Association, executive vice president of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce's Chamber of the Metallurgy Industry, chairman of the Taizhou Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai Mr. Liang received the "First Session Innovation Award of Shanghai Science and Technology Entrepreneur" in October 2002. Mr. Liang was recognized an "Outstanding Entrepreneur of China's Science and Technology Private Enterprise" in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2007. Mr. Liang was designated the “Shanghai Municipal Labour Model of the Year 2001 to 2003” in April 2004. Mr. Liang received the "First Session Innovation Management Award for Young Entrepreneur in China" in December 2005. Mr. Liang received the title of "Outstanding Party Member of Shanghai New Economic and Social Organizations" in June 2006. Mr. Liang was honored in April 2007 as "Shanghai Outstanding Builder of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics." Mr. Liang was awarded one of Shanghai's "Top Ten Outstanding Youth" in July 2008. Mr. Liang was named "Chinese Business Leader of the Year" at the Horasis Global China Business Meeting in Spain in November 2011. Mr. Liang graduated from Fudan University with a bachelor's degree in genetic engineering in 1991 and a master's degree in business administration from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business in 2007.
