Lewis Jackson is the head coach of Alabama State University's men's basketball team. After Rob Spivery left to become the head coach at Southern University, he took over as head coach in 2005. Jackson spent five years as an assistant coach on Spivery's staff before becoming the head coach at Alabama State.
Jackson also played basketball at Alabama State, where he is presently ranked fourth all-time in scoring and was voted SWAC Player of the Year in his final year. Jackson was inducted into the Alabama State and SWAC Halls of Fames, and both Alabama State and his high school, Wetumpka High School, retired his number.
