LaVasia Bullard is a 2005 alumni of Syracuse University. After accepting her B.A. in open approach she joined Teach for America. During her two-year duty, she showed kindergarten and first grade at M.Agnes Jones Elementary School in Atlanta Public Schools.
During the initial two years of instructing she understood she had found her energy inside training through, an affirmation program and chose to remain in the field. She kept on showing second and third grade for an extra 4 years. During that time she got various honors at her school including Teach of the Year.
