Lauren A. Burke is the executive director and co-founder of Atlas: DIY (Developing Immigrant Youth), an immigrant youth and allies cooperative empowerment center. She is also an adjunct clinical professor at Brooklyn Law School and the supervising staff attorney of the New York Asian Women's Center (NYAWC). Burke has pioneered novel legal tactics to empower young immigrants in the often-uncharted frontiers of child trafficking from China and undocumented Dream Act eligible kids since graduating from NYU School of Law in 2009.
