Laura L. Carstensen, Ph.D., is a professor of psychology and the Fairleigh S. Dickinson Jr. Professor of Public Policy at Stanford University. Her study has been financed by the National Institute on Aging for more than two decades, and she was awarded a MERIT grant in 2005.
