She was born in Mainz, Germany, in 1985, to Wilfried, an entrepreneur and horse trainer, and Ursula, the granddaughter of billionaire property mogul Karl-Heinz Kipp, who created the Massa department store chain. Felix, a vocalist with the rock band Hey Negrita who overcome heroin addiction and now tours jails assisting others, Goetz, and Till are her three brothers.
