Unlike most other Miami Dolphins performers of the 1970s, Larry Little started his career with the San Diego Chargers as an underappreciated free broker in 1967. Little, a two-way tackle, team captain, and The all selection at Bethune-Cookman, had only limited success in San Diego. However, he was bought and sold to the Dolphins a little before the 1969 season.
Soon after, the 6-1, 265-pound shield was lauded as one of the best offensive linemen in the National Football League. During the 1970s, when the Dolphins were the prevailing team in the NFL, he was a regular at right guard. Little embodied the agressive force of Miami's renowned passing attack. Little was indeed a fantastic pass blocker.
