Larry Gagosian moved on from UCLA in 1969 with a degree in English Literature. In 1980 he opened an exhibition in Los Angeles for present day and contemporary workmanship. After five years he extended his exercises to New York introducing his first Chelsea display with a presentation of works from the Pop craftsmanship assortment of Emily and Burton Tremaine.
From 1989, 1996, he possessed an exhibition at 65 Thompson Street in Soho with the eminent vendor Leo Castelli where they indicated Ellsworth Kelly Roy Lichtenstein Bruce Nauman and other driving craftsmen of the post-war age. In thirty years Gagosian has developed into a worldwide system with sixteen presentation spaces in the U.S.
