Drew was chosen in the first round (17th overall) of the 1980 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. Drew, a 6'1 point guard from the University of Missouri, spent ten seasons in the NBA. He was a member of the Detroit Pistons, the Kansas City/Sacramento Kings, the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Los Angeles Lakers. Drew played for Scavolini in the Italian League from 1988 to 89.
