Larry Baer, a fourth-generation San Franciscan, has established a nationwide reputation as one of professional sports' leading ideals. After leading the effort to gather a new ownership group and arrange the sale that kept the Giants in San Francisco,he joined the team as executive vice president in 1992.
He is the limited partner in the ownership group, was named COO in May 1996, team president in October 2008, and Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2012. The Giants won their second World Series title in three years in his first year as president and CEO. The Giants won their third World Series title in five years in 2014.
