Larenz Tate is a revered actor, producer, and director known for his intense, charismatic performances across film and television. A Chicago native, his family moved to California in the early 1980s, where he began acting through a drama program at the Inner City Cultural Center. Tate broke out as the ruthless O-Dog in the 90’s classic “Menace II Society.” He delivered standout performances in “Dead Presidents” (1995), “Love Jones” (1997), “Why Do Fools Fall in Love?” (1998), “Crash” (2004), and “Ray” (2004). On television, he gained acclaim as Councilman Rashad Tate in “Power” and “Power Book II: Ghost”, and appeared in “Rescue Me”, “House of Lies”, and more.
