Lance Kalish is the co-founder and Chief Carrot Counter at Yes To, Inc. in San Francisco (the makers of Yes To Carrots, Yes To Cucumbers, Yes To Tomatoes and Yes To Blueberries). Lance founded the company with his business partner Ido Leffler when he was 29 years old, and within four years grew Yes To, Inc. into one of the world's fastest growing skincare companies, with a presence in over 25,000 stores in more than 24 countries, which include Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Whole Foods, Safeway, Sephora Europe, and innumerable other global retail chains. Yes To, Incorporated was an instant success in the beauty industry, and it is widely recognised for its innovative products, global vision, entrepreneurial spirit, and social outreach. Lance was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, and emigrated to Australia with his family in 1997 in search of a more secure lifestyle after living conditions in South Africa became unbearable due to rampant and violent crime in the early post-Apartheid era. Growing up in a developing country that had spent the previous 30 years isolated from the rest of the globe, on the other hand, helped Lance develop a keen sense of entrepreneurism and an insatiable appetite to explore the world. Lance met his current business partner Ido Leffler after leaving a thriving career in investment banking and corporate advisory that never satisfied his entrepreneurial desires. The two founded Trendtrade International, a brand and consulting agency that specialised in developing international markets for health and beauty brands. These early years of living in eight different countries and developing new markets for more than 100 brands in more than 20 countries around the world laid the groundwork for Lance and Ido to develop the key facets that led to the Yes To brand's sensational success. Yes To is now a global leader in natural beauty and has been described as one of the major factors in shifting consumers' perceptions of natural products from alternative to popular by a leading industry organisation (Organic Monitor-2010). Many in the beauty industry believe that Yes To has achieved the fastest global expansion and distribution for an independent skincare brand, with 25,000 stores in 24 countries in less than four years since its initial launch. With his background in corporate finance and expertise in international business development, Lance regularly advises and consults boards and management on international strategy development, particularly in the consumer brand industry. Lance was named by Australian Unlimited in 2013 as one of the Top 50 Australian Global Achievers. Lance and his business partner, Ido Leffler, signed a deal with Amazon Publishing, whose writers include Tim Ferriss, Penny Marshall, and Deepak Chopra, in the summer of 2012, for the publication of their first business book, Get Big Fast and Do More Good: Start Your Business, Make It Huge, and Change the World, which was published in November 2013.
