LaLa Vasquez Biography

LaLa Vazquez is an American actress, radio disc jockey, and television personality who was born on June 25, 1979. Vazquez worked as a programming assistant at WHTA radio in Atlanta. She got her first major break while still a student at Redan High School when she co-hosted a radio show called Future Flavas with Ludacris. After working at the station for a while, she relocated to Washington, D.C., where she studied Communications at Howard University. She worked as a disc jockey at WHUR, the school radio station, throughout her time at Howard. She relocated to Los Angeles, California, in 1999 and began working at KKBT radio. MTV observed her there and urged her to audition; however, she was not contacted back until a year later. MTV's Direct Effect and Total Request Live included her as a co-host. She's also hosted reunion specials for VH1's Flavor of Love, both seasons of I Love New York, Real Chance of Love, Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School, and For the Love of Ray J. She also featured as a dean on VH1's Charm School with Ricki Lake and frequently introduced stories on MTV's High School Stories. In 2001, Vazquez made her feature film debut in Two Can Play That Game. Urban Massacre (2002), Monster Island (2003), and You Got Served are among her other film credits. In April 2012, LaLa created her personal website, IamLaLa.com.
