Kurtwood Larson Smith received three Drama-Logue Awards for his roles in Billy Budd, Idiot's Delight, and Green Grow the Lilacs on stage. He is most known for his roles as Clarence Boddicker, the villain in Paul Verhoeven's science fiction action picture RoboCop, and as Red Forman, the father, in the Fox comedy That '70s Show, which ran from 1998 to 2006. Smith went on to play Senator Blaine Mayer in the sixth season of the action thriller 24, and Dick Clayton in the CBS sitcom Worst Week after That '70s Show. In Seasons 3-5 of the NBC (later CBS) series Medium, he played a rogue FBI agent, and following his character's death, he reappeared as a ghost in later episodes. His previous appearances before That '70s Show were Mr. Sue on Fox's spy comedy The New Adventures of Beans Baxter from 1987 to 1989. In 1989's Dead Poets Society, he played the harsh father of Robert Sean Leonard's Neil. He appeared in many Star Trek episodes, including the Federation President in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, a Cardassian named Thrax in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's Things Past, and a Krenim scientist named Annorax in Star Trek: Voyager's Year of Hell. He also has a long list of voice acting credits, including roles in computer games like Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel and FreeSpace 2, as well as animated shows. He portrayed the dinosaurian military commander character General Galapagos in the Savage Worlds film and was a recurrent character on the claymation series Gary & Mike as the angry Officer Dick. Terrible Thunderlizards is a Fox cartoon series created by Steve Holland. He voiced Bob Johnson on Squirrel Boy, gave the voice of Kanjar Ro in Green Lantern: First Flight, and appeared in Last of the Dogmen as the sheriff.
