Kree Harrison Biography

Kree Harrison is a Lone Star state native who has proven that she’s an artist to look out for on the American music scene. She began her music journey in church, then performed at regional rodeo circuits around her hometown in Woodville, Texas, to The Rosie O'Donnell Show, to American Idol and to becoming a Billboard Charting artist. Now signed to One Vision Music Group, she is charting a new course in her music career by delivering her most personal record yet mixed with a perfect array of my influences and aspirations as an artist with 2020's “Chosen Family Tree.” On The Rosie O'Donnell Show, she secured an opening act slot with Percy Sledge, who is one of her greatest influences, and also signed a recording contract with Lyric Street Records; all these were achieved during her pre-teen years. Her family moved to Nashville where she involved herself in the songwriting community, appearing on The Ryman and the Bluebird Café stages. Her success was guaranteed already with such a strong foundation which led her to audition for American Idol, securing a spot in Hollywood on Season 12. Thanks to the visibility and reach on American Idol, Harrison rose to become a finalist and scored her first Billboard chart hit with “All Cried Out” reaching No. 34 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. “American Idol taught me that I never have to dilute my voice or my songwriting to prove I have something to say,” she says in one of her interviews. Her debut album titled “This Old Thing,” peaked at No. 28 on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart and Number 20 on the Heatseeker Album Chart which was a follow up success. She lent her voice in the background for Kacey Musgraves on her premiere project “Same Trailer Different Park” and Eli Young “Band's Life at Best.” Harrison has achieved a lot for herself throughout her music career by collaborating with the iconic Keith Urban, Wynonna Judd, Delbert McClinton and many more. With her forthcoming project “Chosen Family Tree,” Fans will get to listen to the emotions in her stories through her vulnerable lyrics.
