Kleinfeld has been Chairman and CEO of Alcoa Inc. since April 2010, a global leader in lightweight metals science, engineering, and production for sectors such as automotive, aerospace, military, and commercial transportation. From 2008 until April 2010, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Alcoa, and from 2007 to 2008, he was President and Chief Operating Officer.
Kleinfeld spent 20 years with Siemens AG, including as Chief Executive Officer and President, a member of the Managing Board, and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Siemens Corporation, the company's major U.S. affiliate. Kleinfeld is a director of Morgan Stanley and a member of Bayer AG's supervisory board in addition to being a director of Alcoa.
