Kiran Carrie Chetry (brought into the world August 26, 1974) is a previous American transmission columnist who, until 2011, was a link commentator for CNN's American Morning. From 2001 to 2007 she announced—and afterward moored—link news at Fox News. Kiran was conceived in Patan Hospital (Shanta Bhawan), Patan, Nepal. After seven months her folks moved their new family to the United States. Her family name, Chetry, alludes to the customary position of rulers and warriors among Hindus in the Middle Hills of Nepal. Kiran's dad Hom Chetry has a place with this network. Kiran's mom Nancy is of German, Ukrainian, and Dutch family. Her folks met while Nancy was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal. Kiran experienced childhood in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and went to Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland, where she served in understudy government, moved on the pom crew, and contended on the swimming club. Upon graduation, she selected at the University of Maryland, College Park's College of Journalism, where she joined the Alpha Pi part of Delta sorority and got her Bachelor of Arts in broadcast reporting. Chetry started her profession in 1995 at News 21 in Rockville, Maryland. The following year she moved to WICU-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she was the fundamental anchor and wellbeing columnist. (She met her future spouse Chris Knowles there who was the ideal time reporter.) She got the Best Enterprise Reporting grant from the Pennsylvania Associated Press Broadcasters Association in 1997 for her arrangement "Youthful and Hooked," which saw youngster smoking. In 1999 Chetry went from WICU-TV to KXTV in Sacramento, California to fill in as a morning anchor and columnist until joining Fox News Channel. In 2001 Chetry joined the link news network Fox News Channel as an overall journalist, first showing up on March 8, 2001, in a tale about eating frozen yogurt. The following year Chetry was regarded with the Making our Mark (MOM) Award from the Association of Nepalis in the Americas. During her time at Fox News, she filled in as a turning anchor for Fox News Live and the early morning news program Fox and Friends First. In late 2005, she turned into an ordinary co-have on the organization's end of the week morning news program, Fox and Friends Weekend.
