My current research focuses on three major areas: (1) social influences on individuals' aggressive attitudes and behaviours; (2) person-centered approaches to analysing longitudinal data on violence and victimisation; and (3) investigating the relationship between substance use and violence.
My first area of study began with a conceptual application of the literatures on social influence, social networks, and attitudes to the study of violence and aggression. The overarching goal of this research area is to integrate psychological and sociological principles and methods in order to better situate violence within a social and structural context.
