Kevin Padian is a University of California, Berkeley Professor of Integrative Biology, Curator of Paleontology at the University of California Museum of Paleontology, and President of the National Center for Science Education. Padian is passionate about vertebrate evolution, particularly the origins of flight and the evolution of birds from theropod dinosaurs. In the Kitzmiller v.
Dover Area School District trial, he testified as an expert witness for the plaintiffs, and his testimony was cited numerous times in the court's decision. Padian graduated from Colgate University with a bachelor's degree in Natural Science, a master's degree in teaching, and a doctorate from Yale University.
