Kevin DeYoung is the senior pastor of Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, North Carolina, as well as the chairman of The Gospel Coalition's board of directors and an associate professor of systematic theology at Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte). DeYoung, a native of Jenison, Michigan, earned a B.A. in Religion from Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, awarded him a Master of Divinity degree. He is now pursuing his Ph.D. in Early Modern History at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. His study has concentrated on the theology of John Witherspoon, a Scottish-American Presbyterian theologian and one of the United States' founding fathers.
