He's working on small robots that “swarm” – communicating with each other to perform operations like a search and rescue after a natural disaster.His research focuses on investigating millimeter-scaled biomechanics distilling the underlying physical principles and applying these findings to enable novel functions in microrobots. He takes an integrated approach of combining high-throughput experiments and high-fidelity numerical simulations.
