Keisha Castle-Hughes was born March 24 1990 in Donnybrook Western Australia. She was raised in the Auckland suburb of Mt. Wellington where she was selected from among several hundred children to star as Pai in 2003's acclaimed film Whale Rider. She was nominated for an Academy Award for best actress for her performance. In 2005 Castle-Hughes appeared in Star Wars: Episode III playing Regal Leader.
