Katie Aselton Biography

Katie Aselton is an American film director producer and actress from Milbridge Maine. As an actress she is known for The League (2009-2015) Cyrus (2010) and Black Rock (2012). She has been married to Mark Duplass her co-star on The League since August 26 2006. Aselton also directed and co-starred in The Freebie which premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. Most recently she has been cast in the 2015 mystery/thriller The Gift starring Jason Bateman Joel Edgerton and Rebecca Hall.
Aselton competed in pageants in 1995 and was Miss Maine Teen USA 1995 and first runner-up at Miss Teen USA 1995. She attended Boston University School of Communications for two years before moving to Los Angeles to act. She then studied for two years at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.
