Kathleen McElligott Biography

Kathleen McElligott, Vice President and Chief Information Officer, oversees Emerson's global information technology strategy, which includes hardware, software, and services, as well as telecommunications and data centre infrastructure. She has been in charge of these duties since February 2010. McElligott joined Emerson as Vice President of Information Technology for Emerson Power Transmission in 2000. She was promoted to Vice President of Information Technology for Emerson Industrial Automation in 2003, a position she held until her current position with Emerson. McElligott worked for General Electric for 22 years before joining Emerson. holding a variety of information systems leadership positions before becoming CIO of supply chain for GE Aircraft Engines. McElligott is a member of the St. Louis CIO Board, the Master of Information Management Industry Advisory Council at Washington University, and an honorary advisor to the St. Louis Gateway to Innovation conference. McElligott is also the Board President of Connections to Success, a non-profit organisation that motivates people to achieve economic independence and well-being. McElligott, who was named one of the St. Louis Business Journal's "Most Influential Business Women," was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of Fontbonne University. McElligott earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Kent State University and a Master of Business Administration from Xavier University.
